Required Documents:

Birth certificate or affidavit of birth.

Birth certificate or affidavit of birth of a parent or Certificate of Naturalization.

National ID Card (issued by NIDA).

Proof of applicant's activities or justification of a trip (for service passport).

Passport-sized photo.

Passport fee.

An introduction letter from UTUMISHI KUU (for service passport).

Where to Apply:

Immigration Headquarters in Dar es Salaam.

Regional or District Immigration Offices.

Tanzanian Embassies/High Commissions (for applications abroad).

Payment:

Applicants are required to pay the application fee and passport fee.

The fee for an ordinary electronic passport is 130,000 TZS.

The fee for an emergency travel document is 20,000 TZS.

Processing Time:

It will take between 7-21 working days to process the application.
